ISO-NE releases report on strategic plan for fulfilling three critical roles, supporting clean energy transition

ISO New England has published “Vision in Action: ISO New England’s Strategic Plan,” a report detailing a number of projects undertaken to help the region prepare for an electric grid powered primarily by renewable resources.

The report offers stakeholders insight into how the ISO intends to fulfill its three critical roles of power grid operation, market administration, and power system planning as the industry and the region transition to clean energy.

In addition to discussing the ISO’s key goals and initiatives, the report offers perspectives on trends shaping the power industry.

The ISO’s Board of Directors heard a presentation about the plan during its Nov. 1 public meeting in Providence, Rhode Island.
