A look behind the scenes as ISO-NE participates in nationwide grid preparedness exercise

Last month, more than 100 ISO New England employees joined industry and governmental participants from across New England to participate in GridEx V. Hosted by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and the Electricity Information Sharing Analysis Center (E-ISAC), the two-day exercise tested the region’s ability to respond to simulated cyber and physical attacks on New England’s power system. As in previous years, GridEx V proved to be a valuable opportunity for ISO staff across all departments to practice and improve their response capabilities.
