Managing distributed energy resource aggregation data: Self-paced training available

ISO New England now offers a self-paced training module covering data and reporting management for distributed energy resource aggregations (DERAs) under Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Order No. 2222.

The module explains how DERA data is managed and used after registration, and provides insight into what participants can expect as system functionality continues to evolve. Learners will gain an understanding of the capabilities required for participation, how to assess readiness, key coordination considerations, and the metering and telemetry requirements that support successful DERA participation.

To support the training, a companion resource is also available. The Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Data Dictionary and Field Reference Guide helps participants understand the purpose, ownership, requirements, and validation rules associated with DER and DERA data. The guide includes definitions, examples, related fields, submission guidance, visual examples, and common validation issues to support accurate data submission, successful registration activities, and ongoing data maintenance.

For additional information, visit the Order No. 2222 Key Project page or browse related training materials.

ISO New England offers a variety of training resources to help participants understand the region’s wholesale electricity market and power system. Is there something specific you’d like to see? Take a short survey to provide your feedback.
