Self-paced training available on resource deactivation under Capacity Auction Reforms

A new self-paced training module provides an overview of the resource deactivation process under the Capacity Auction Reforms framework.

This training explains the requirements, timelines, and review activities associated with resource deactivation. Participants will learn how to submit resource deactivation notifications by identifying applicable deadlines, providing required information, and completing deactivation submissions.

The training also explains the completeness and reliability review process, including how reliability and market power assessments are performed, and outlines information publication requirements that support market transparency and informed planning decisions.

Also available is the Capacity Management Tracking System (CMTS) User Guide, which provides instructions for using the CMTS application and completing applicable business processes. The current version of the guide includes instructions for submitting deactivation requests and will be expanded to support additional Capacity Auction Reforms processes as they become available.
