Registration open for Consumer Liaison Group meeting in Maine

Registration is open for the next quarterly meeting of the Consumer Liaison Group (CLG), to be held in Maine and online in September.

“Batteries, Storage, and the Future of the Grid” is the meeting topic. Maine Public Advocate Heather Sanborn will be the keynote speaker. Panelists include:

• George Baker, principal, Gridworks Consulting
• Ian Burnes, director of strategic initiatives, Efficiency Maine Trust
• Laura Coriell, director of market development, Lightshift Energy
• Kelly Kaufmann, director of energy storage, ReVision Energy
• Alan McBride, vice president of System Planning, ISO New England
• Jessica Robertson, director of policy and business development, New England, New Leaf Energy
• Elio Torres, chief operating officer, Powertown
• Ethan Tremblay, deputy commissioner, Maine Department of Energy Resources

The program will also feature a regional update from ISO New England.

The meeting takes place Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, at the Clarion Hotel, 1230 Congress St., Portland, ME 04102. Lunch is at noon, followed by the meeting from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Registration is required for in-person attendance to help with planning for seating and lunch, and to respect venue occupancy limits. There is no registration for virtual attendance. Details for virtual attendance are available via the calendar event on the ISO New England website.

The CLG is a forum for the exchange of information between ISO New England (the region’s power grid operator) and electricity consumers. Meetings are free and open to the public. Attendees include consumers and consumer representatives, state business and industry associations, chambers of commerce, individual businesses, trade groups, nonprofit organizations, and other end users.
