Training available on generation outage submissions under new capacity market rules

A new market participant microlearning module provides an overview of recent Capacity Auction Reform updates impacting generation outage submissions in the Control Room Operations Window (CROW) web client. The estimated viewing time is 10 minutes.

Participants will learn about new outage submission requirements under Operating Procedure No. 5 (OP 5), updates to generation outage approval timelines, and the addition of the new Will Hold CSO field in CROW.

The training also explains how to determine the correct selection within the application, the impact of incorrect selections, how outage calculations will function prior to prompt auction awards, and the introduction of new outage status categories. In addition, learners will be shown how to access the sandbox environment to view and practice using the updated functionality.
