Perspectives on markets and more: ISO-NE staff share expertise at April events

Collaboration, expertise, and innovation are three of ISO New England’s core values. Staff embody these values by presenting their work at electricity industry conferences and events around the region, the country, and the world. Here’s a selection of their April speaking engagements.

Matt White, chief economist and vice president, Market Development & Settlements, took part in the Energy Bar Association’s annual conference in Washington on April 15. He was part of a panel discussion titled “Capacity Markets at a Crossroads? Will Rising Capacity Market Prices Drive New Capacity Resource Investment?”

Eric Johnson, executive director, External Affairs, provided a regional energy market update at the New Hampshire Business and Industry Association’s energy symposium in Concord on April 2.

Dan Schwarting, senior manager, Transmission Planning, and Sarah Adams, senior state policy advisor, External Affairs, provided ISO-NE’s perspective on portable solar technology at a virtual hearing of the Vermont House Committee on Energy & Digital Infrastructure on April 7.

Adams also shared an ISO-NE regional update at the Vermont System Planning Committee quarterly meeting in Middlebury on April 29.

Mike Knowland, manager, Forecast and Scheduling, discussed winter operations and electric-gas coordination at the Northeast Gas Association’s Regional Market Trends Forum on April 15 in Albany, New York.
