Deep dives: ISO-NE staff share expertise at February events

Collaboration, expertise, and innovation are three of ISO New England’s core values. Staff embody these values by presenting their work at electricity industry conferences and events around the region, the country, and the world. Here’s a selection of their February speaking engagements.
External Affairs
Members of the External Affairs department hosted virtual office hours Feb. 27. The online event was an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions about the ISO. Participating were Eric Johnson, executive director, and Kerry Schlichting, supervisor, State Policy.
Marissa Ribeiro Dahan, senior state policy advisor, addressed the Massachusetts Grid Modernization Advisory Council virtually on Feb. 26. She described the ISO’s approach to forecasting large loads, or major sites of electricity demand like data centers.
Johnson and Ribeiro-Dahan took part in a question-and-answer session with energy economics students at Northeastern University in Boston on Feb. 3.
Legal and Compliance
Tim Reppucci, senior regulatory counsel, took part in the Harvard Kennedy School’s Climate Leadership Conference in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Feb. 20. He spoke during a panel discussion titled “Offshore Wind Deep Dive: Is the Model Broken?”
