Self-paced training available on electric storage facility market parameters
Participant Training Services now offers self-paced training on electric storage facility (ESF) state of charge and round-trip efficiency.
The training module explains the full set of parameters for bidding or offering ESF assets in the Day-Ahead Energy Market, including a reference table and hypothetical scenario. With this knowledge, a market participant is better equipped to effectively manage portfolios, submit energy and regulation offers/bids, and apply hourly overrides. The viewing time is about 20 minutes.
A downloadable reference table breaks down parameter basics by category, type, and how the values work practically speaking toward desirable or undesirable ends.
For additional information, please visit the FERC Order No. 841: Day-Ahead State of Charge page.
