Self-paced training available on eMarket enhancements for electric storage facilities

Participant Training Services offers a new resource to support market participants in understanding upcoming eMarket enhancements for electric storage facilities (ESFs).

eMarket is the software platform that allows registered market participants to submit data required to operate the region’s wholesale energy, reserve, and regulation markets. The eMarket Updates for ESF State of Charge and Round-Trip Efficiency self-paced training provides an overview of system changes and new participant actions related to these updates.

Learners will gain insight into the eMarket enhancements, as well as how to navigate new and updated features. Topics include:

  • Overview: eMarket Before and After
  • Key eMarket Changes to Understand
  • Updated ESF Tab
  • ESF Portfolio Manager
  • New Daily Offer Parameters (now called ESF Default Parameters)
  • ESF Hourly Updates
  • SOC by Portfolio

The training concludes with sections on API testing requirements and a summary of the eMarket changes, and new participant actions.

This training is designed to help market participants prepare for implementation and ensure a smooth transition to the updated functionality. For additional information, please visit FERC Order No. 841: Day-Ahead State of Charge page and the Training Materials page.
