ISO-NE forum will explore potential use of grid-enhancing technologies

ISO New England will host a forum on grid-enhancing technologies (GETs) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the DoubleTree hotel in Westborough, Massachusetts. A virtual attendance option will also be available.
The GETs forum will bring together various energy industry experts to discuss technologies intended to help maximize utilization of the transmission system. GETs may provide system benefits by allowing more power to flow through existing transmission facilities that are limited by power flow ratings, which set the maximum amount of current a transmission line can carry before it becomes damaged by heat.
The event is intended for public officials, New England Power Pool members, transmission professionals, technology providers, and anyone interested in the future of grid infrastructure. Registration for in-person and virtual attendees is open until June 9.
