Northeast, Canadian RTOs compare notes; ISO-NE staff share expertise at November events
Collaboration, expertise, and innovation are three of ISO New England’s core values. Staff embody these values by presenting their work at electricity industry conferences and events around the region, the country, and the world. Here’s a selection of their November speaking engagements.
Market Administration
Shannon Carey, executive director, Market Analysis & Settlements, spoke at EUCI’s ISO Market Settlements conference in Westminster, Colorado, on November 20.
System Planning
President and CEO Gordon van Welie highlighted transmission and resource developments in a panel discussion with officials from New York ISO and the Independent Electricity System Operator of Ontario at the New England-Canada Business Council’s annual energy conference in Boston on November 20.
Al McBride, vice president, System Planning, gave a virtual presentation on transmission planning to the Northeast Regional Ocean Council on November 12. He touched on the ISO’s recent Economic Planning for the Clean Energy Transition study and 2050 Transmission Study.
Other Events
Eric Johnson, executive director, External Affairs, addressed two business groups during the month. On November 14 he provided a virtual overview of the ISO for the New England Environmental Business Council’s Energy Literacy Program. On November 19 took part in a panel discussion about business impacts of the clean energy transition at the Associated Industries of Massachusetts energy conference in North Andover.
