ISO Minute: A pocket map for the clean energy transition

ISO Minute is a video series featuring ISO New England employees speaking about their experiences working for the region’s independent system operator and supporting the safe and reliable transition to clean energy.

As the region’s independent system operator, ISO New England plays a critical role in providing data-driven analysis to support stakeholders and policymakers in the region. This role has never been more critical than as New England transitions to a cleaner energy future. The Economic Planning for the Clean Energy Transition (EPCET) study builds on research into the region’s power system, exploring both near-term and long-range scenarios under current state energy and environmental policies.

In this ISO Minute, Patrick Boughan, supervisor of Economic Studies and Environmental Outlook at ISO New England, walks through how the study will help New England transition to a cleaner grid in the most economical, reliable way possible.
