The Vermont Energy Investment Corporation (VEIC) and Efficiency Vermont are working with the Vermont National Guard to improve military resiliency through the implementation of energy storage solutions. In doing research, the team connected with Otis Air National Guard Base about their microgrid, for which ISO New England provided information and guidance on future bulk power system integration opportunities. Otis recommended that the team learn more about ISO New England and meet with ISO staff while planning their project.
Last week, eleven guests visited the ISO for an overview, control room viewing, and introductory conversations with subject matter experts.
