ISO New England President and CEO Gordon van Welie was recognized by SNL Energy as one of the top 10 most influential people in the energy industry in 2015. SNL Energy, a provider of energy-industry news, cited as an industry advancement the ISO’s development of a pay-for-performance capacity market design that provides the incentive for power system resources to make investments to boost their performance during periods of power system stress.
