Fall 2015 website upgrades to address popular requests

ISO New England is committed to continually enhancing the ISO website’s helpfulness and ease of use for our stakeholders and employees. In response to feedback received since the launch of the redesigned website in August 2014, the ISO is pleased to announce the following upgrades.

Pre-filtered and Pre-sorted Document Lists and Calendars

Now when you filter or sort a document widget or calendar, that information is captured in the URL. You can then share or link to that URL. For example, you could send someone directly to a pre-filtered Training Materials page showing only a chronological listing of e-learning materials on ancillary services.

Preserved filtering and sorting

You won’t lose the filtering or sorting you applied to a document or calendar listing anymore when you hit the back button after following a link.

Filter-order toggles

Quickly switch from an alphabetized list of filter names to a list sorted by the number of results for each filter.

Archived search results

When you search for a word or phrase on the ISO website, initial results will now only include materials from the past seven years. Older materials can be found by clicking the “Search the archive for older results” link and entering your search term there.

From the Search Archive page, use the browser’s Back button to return to previous results.

To start a new search among current materials, click the “View more recent results” link.

This change will help you find the most current relevant results more quickly. By preventing old materials from showing up at the top of standard searches, returned search results are typically cut in half. To find specific materials that may not be updated often, it may be more efficient to go directly to their webpage instead of performing a site search.

Subscription option added to more document listings

Even more pages on the ISO website will now let you sign up for alerts when new materials are published.

Click the subscribe button to sign up for alerts to published materials.

“You are here” page indicator

The section navigation menu now highlights your current location.
